Entraway Installs Sliding Doors As Part Of An Access Control Solution

Sliding doors often form part of a security of access control solution. They are used in corporate, commercial and residential applications to provide an automatic door opening function. The doors only open when traffic approaches. This takes much of the load off air conditioning systems, enabling them to maintain interior temperatures more easily and saving on electricity. Entraway are experts at supplying and installing automatic sliding doors.

Automatic doors may be activated in different ways. Perhaps the most common method is the installation of an infrared device that emits a beam. If the beam is blocked, the door opens. Alternatively, much the same effect is achieved by a motion detector that works with low-power microwave radar. Pressures sensors may also be used under the floor mat close to the door; the door is triggered when someone steps on the sensor. A remote sensor may be used to open the door, like a handheld device. Only people with the appropriate remote control unit can open a specific door, aiding access control. Lastly, the door can be opened by a switch that has to be activated. This may be a button that is pressed by a security guard once he or she has decided to let in someone, or a card reader.

Automatic sliding doors are useful for access control, safe passage for the disabled and climate control inside buildings. They are also handy in houses, where sliding doors are often fitted between the house and the entertainment or swimming pool areas. They can easily be disabled to keep small children inside.

Entraway can fit automatic sliding doors at any private or corporate location. For more information on the products and services we offer, contact us today.
